Diálogos Intercultural Services
“Opening up dialogues between the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking worlds”

Diálogos Intercultural Services was established in Toronto in 2006 to provide Spanish-English translation services to clients in North America, and to promote Hispanic art and literature in Toronto and throughout the English-speaking world. Our mission is to open up dialogues between the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking communities and to foster an awareness and appreciation of the richness of Hispanic culture among English speakers.

Diálogos was founded by Martin Boyd, an ATA-certified Spanish-English translator and published writer with years of experience in literary, commercial and legal translation, and is operated by a small group of professional translators based chiefly in Canada and Mexico. While the company’s main office is still in Toronto, Diálogos established a branch office in Mexico City in 2009 to offer a local point of contact to our growing number of Mexican clients.

In addition to translation services, Diálogos has also been involved in promoting Hispanic cultural events in Toronto in the fields of literature, music and visual arts. Our quarterly bilingual magazine addresses topics related to the Spanish language, Hispanic culture and Spanish/English translation, and our virtual bookstore is specifically aimed at readers with an interest in Hispanic culture and Spanish-English translation.

To help us to bring the Spanish-speaking and English-speaking worlds closer together, Diálogos welcomes contributions and suggestions from translators, linguists, authors, artists and other members of the Hispanic community in Canada and around the world. If you would like to contribute to our magazine, to inform us of an upcoming cultural event or simply to obtain more information about what we do, please feel free to contact us.
